About the Event

Come join us for a light breakfast, to network and celebrate the achievements of women. As part of the celebration of the centenary of IUPAC in 2019, we invite you to join in a Global Women’s Breakfast.

The event is titled “Empowering Women in Chemistry: A Global Networking Event”. It will be held on February 12, 2019, from 7:30 am – 9:00 am in Room CS101 at Cape Breton University.

Our Guest speaker will be Dr. Vicki Meli Associate Professor of Chemistry at Mount Allison University Sackville NB.

The Global Women’s Breakfast aims to assist women chemists to expand their network of contacts, both locally and internationally. Women at different stages of their individual careers can inform each other about their career progress, and together explore opportunities, in professional development and in research or teaching horizons. Organizations of all types, e.g., universities, companies, national chemistry societies, government laboratories, and other scientific organizations, as well as individual groups of chemists, are invited to participate.

RSVP by Jan, 30th 2019 to Judy MacInnis (judy_macinnis@cbu.ca). Please see attached invitation for further details.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the event!
