Our research interests combine fundamental organic chemistry with applied materials. We are very interested in finding high value applications for low cost materials. Currently our primary focus is BioChar. Biochar generated from forestry residues, sea waste and other other waste streams have been converted to active catalysts, efficient absorbents and even cosmetics in our lab.  Check out the research project link for more details.
